General Community Meeting - 06 mars 2009

On March, 06th, 2009, at the Second Board of danone.communities, the community danone.communities gathered at the Casino de Paris! Over 1200 people attended this evening around two round tables. After a status on the progress of danone.communities in 2008, a first round table presented the 3 social businesses that we support in Bangladesh, Cambodia and Senegal and the under observation project in Madagascar.

Then, in a second part, the major witnesses joined the scene of the Casino de Paris: Jay Naidoo, Chairman of the South African Bank of Development and the NGO GAIN, Nicolas Hulot, President of the Fondation Nicolas Hulot for Nature and Mankind, Muhammad Yunus, Founder of Grameen Bank, Nobel Peace Prize in 2006 and Franck Riboud, CEO of Groupe Danone. They shared their thoughts on social business, the role of business and individual in the context of multiple crisis.
